B.Hood is the latest alias of our very own Mirror Organs, seeing the London-based producer experiment with a set of restrained and deftly composed stretches of musique concrète.

Reliefs 01—06 plays with elements of noise - like beds of rustling static, buzzing electronics, and metallic sound recordings - but always remains on the gentle side of harshness, creating an almost enveloping and soothing environment, albeit with sinister overtones generated by alien chirrups and distant rumblings.

It’s a short and satisfying collection of minimalist arrangements that conveys a subtle ingenuity, attention to detail and emotional range - across these sparse and aesthetically coherent études is a gently undulating mood that explores melancholy, lightness, foreboding and intimacy.
